This avocado dip is deliciously creamy, and slightly tangy which makes a perfect snack or appetizer. It’s quick to make and full of flavor - just combine the ingredients in a food processor and it’s ready to serve.
¼cupSour creamor greek yogurt or full-fat plain yogurt
1Spring onion (green onion or scallion)chopped
1cloveGarlic
½cupCilantro or coriander leaves
1small JalapenoTo make it mild discard seeds and veins otherwise keep it.
½teaspoonCumin powder
Salt & Pepperto taste
Instructions
Add peeled and pitted avocados in a food processor along with the rest of the ingredients (sour cream, scallion, garlic, cilantro, jalapeno, salt, pepper and lime juice).
Process it until smooth and creamy (yet flaked with cilantro).
Taste (if serving as a dip, taste with a chip that you’re serving. As tortilla chips can be salty) and don’t be shy on the salt. Add an extra pinch, you’ll be amazed how the flavors come together.

Be generous on salt. Taste your avocado dip, if it tastes bland then add more. Always go for an extra pinch of salt, you’ll be amazed how flavorful it makes. The right amount of lime juice and salt makes the perfect tasting dip.
This doesn’t turn brown that quickly as there is a good amount of lime juice in it. Though after storing, the next day you may notice some browning on the top surface. Lime juice slows down the browning (oxidizing) but doesn’t prevent it.
