Home style dal fry is made in pressure cooker only. No masala frying on another pan. So It is one pot home style dal recipe.

(dahi or curd) whisked (Alternately use ½ to 1 teaspoon of lemon juice)

Instructions
Preparation:
Take all three dal in a bowl. Rinse them with cold water till water becomes almost clear.
Soak them in enough water for 10-15 minutes.
After soaking time discard the water. Meantime prepare other stuff and chop onion tomato for making this dal.
Making home style dal fry recipe:
Heat the oil in a pressure cooker on medium heat.
Once hot add cumin seeds and let them sizzle.
Now add chopped onions, ginger paste, garlic paste and chopped chili.
Mix well and cook till onion becomes soft and translucent.
Now add chopped tomatoes. Mix and cook for few minutes till they become soft.
Add salt, turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander powder and garam masala. Mix well and cook for a minute.
Now add soaked, drained dal. Mix well.
Add 1 ½ cups of water. Stir.
Cover the cooker with lid, put the weight on.
Cook for 4-5 whistles. Let the pressure go down by itself.
Then open the lid. Lightly stir and check the consistency of the dal. Add splash of water if needed and simmer for 2-3 minutes.
Now add whisked yogurt.
Immediately mix it. Instead of yogurt you can add lemon juice.
Lastly add chopped coriander leaves and mix.
