It is made from boiled sweet potato and flavored with few spices. In Hindi it is called shakarkandi chaat.

Sweet potatoes
boiled, peeled and cubed

Rock salt (Sendha namak)
to taste

Black pepper powder

Red chili powder

Roasted cumin powder

Lemon juice

Instructions
Preparation:
First boil the sweet potato in pressure cooker.
Take washed sweet potato in the cooker, add enough water so potato is submerged in the water.
Cover with the lid, put the weight on and turn the heat on medium heat.
Let it cook for 2 whistles or till the sweet potato is cooked.
Let the pressure go down by itself then open the lid.
Once sweet potato is cool to touch, peel the skin and discard. Cut into small cubes.
Making sweet potato chaat recipe:
Take cubed sweet potato in a bowl.
Add salt, pepper powder, red chili powder and roasted cumin powder.
Squeeze the fresh lemon juice in it.
Mix well so everything is coated well to the shakarkand pieces.
Remove it to a serving bowl, serve lemon wedge on side.
