Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and keep it ready.
In a large bowl, add onion, peppers, green chilies, and cilantro. Also, add salt, pepper, chili flakes and oregano. Mix well.
Add cheese and again mix.
Apply butter on bread slices and arrange on a baking tray.
Toast the bread slices in a preheated oven for 4 minutes.
Remove the tray from the oven. Spread the mixture on the bread evenly.
Bake for another 8-10 minutes or until the cheese is melted and the bottom of the bread is crispy and lightly browned.
