Instructions
Making Instant Pot Dal Palak Recipe:
Turn the instant pot on saute mode.
Once hot add oil and cumin seeds. Let seeds sizzle a bit.
Add onion tomato masala, wahsed moong dal, red chili powder, coriander powder, salt, water, spinach leaves.
Mix and slightly push down the spinach leaves.
Cover the IP with lid, keep the valve to sealing position.
Cook on manual (High pressure) for 2 minutes.
Do QPR (quick pressure release) by positioning the valve to venting.
Add lemon juice, mix and serve.

How to cook dal palak without onion tomato masala?
After adding cumin seeds, add ½ cup chopped onions, 1 teaspoon ginger paste or finely chopped, 1 teaspoon garlic paste or finely chopped. Saute till onions are soft.
Add ½ cup chopped tomatoes and cook till soft.
Add 1 teaspoon coriander powder and ½ teaspoon turmeric powder. Mix.
Continue with next step of adding moong dal, salt, chili powder, water.
