Instructions
Take pineapple cubes in a blender along with water and salt.
Blend it until it is a smooth puree.
Taste and add sugar accordingly and blitz it to mix.
Put the strainer over a pitcher or a large bowl and strain the juice.
Press gently using the back of the spatula to get most of the juice. You’ll have some fibers left, discard that.
If needed skim off the froth and serve.
Notes
Cut the pineapple ahead of time and chill
in the refrigerator to get instant chilled pineapple juice.
Juicer:
if using a juicer then no need to strain as it separates the pulp and juice.
Pineapple naturally froths when blended.
After straining the juice, the froth is reduced. After that, you can skim off the excess froth using a ladle.
Variations
:
You can add a small piece of ginger. It aids digestion and adds a nice flavor.
You can add a pinch of black salt (kala namak) along with some black pepper for a zingy taste.
You can add a few mint leaves that add extra freshness to the juice.
You can add coconut water instead of regular water.
You can add some orange juice.
