    ❤️About This Recipe

    • Super easy to make: whisk everything together (use a hand mixer or stand mixer)
    • It’s made with 3 ingredients only.
    • You’ll need 5 minutes only.
    • Love everything bagel? If yes, then this everything bagel dip is for you. Turn your favorite breakfast into an appetizer dip.
    • It’s super delicious and creamy with full of flavors (of course it has everything bagel seasoning).

    🧾Ingredient Notes

Image of ingredients used in everything bagel dip in individual bowls.

Cream cheese: I have used full-fat cream cheese for this recipe. For a lighter version, use ⅓ less fat cream cheese block.

Make sure that a block of cream cheese is at room temperature. Otherwise, you’ll have tiny lumps in your everything bagel dip.

Sour cream: Cream cheese is too thick. So sour cream is added to make it a dip-able-like consistency and smooth. You can use full-fat or low-fat or fat-free sour cream as per your preference.

Everything bagel seasoning: It is available in the spices section of most grocery stores. I prefer to use “no salt added” seasoning. So I can control the salt intake. Plus, I can add more seasoning to my dip without making it over-salty.

You can make homemade everything bagel seasoning, which is a mixture of white sesame seeds, black sesame seeds, poppy seeds, dried minced garlic and onion, salt flakes.

    👩‍🍳Step By Step Photo Instructions

    1) Take room temperature cream cheese and sour cream in a bowl.

    2) Using a hand mixer start beating until everything is well combined and smooth. I have just used a spatula to mix it, it takes some time and effort. Hand mixer or stand mixer makes it easy.

    3) Add everything bagel seasoning.

    4) And mix again until seasoning is evenly distributed. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and chill the dip in the refrigerator for an hour to get the best taste.

    💭Expert Tips

    • Chilling the dip for an hour before serving is highly recommended. It allows the flavors to develop and so tastes better when it is chilled.
    • No salt added seasoning is recommended. Personally, I like to add more amount of seasoning to my dip. If I use the one with salt then my dip gets over-salty.
    • Use room temperature cream cheese to avoid lumps in your everything bagel dip.
    • Storage: It can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week.

    📖Variations

This everything bagel dip is so good and delicious as it is. But you can jazz up a little bit as below.

    • Use greek yogurt instead of sour cream.
    • Add 1 teaspoon of fresh minced garlic for a garlicky-flavor dip.
    • Add 1 tablespoon of fresh chopped scallions (green part) or chives.
    • Add your choice of fresh herbs like cilantro, parsley, dill leaves.
    • Add some chili flakes to make it spicy.
    • Add some freshly crushed black pepper to give some heating element.
