    Bombay veg sandwich recipe - It is not only available in Mumbai streets but in streets of every city of India.

    You know that it is very EASY to make. Everyone knows how to make this sandwiches. You will say that apply some butter, chutney, ketchup on bread, arrange the sliced veggies, sprinkle chaat masala and it is ready.

    But still many times we do not get the same taste as street stall ones.

    Here is the secrete to achieve the same taste - Sprinkle the sandwich masala on each and every veggie layer similar to my veg grilled sandwich. It makes huge difference in taste and flavors. Trust me.

    The coriander-mint chutney is another element that makes the sandwich more flavorful. You can make chutney and sandwich masala a day before. Keep the chutney in the fridge.

    How to make bombay veg sandwich recipe (Step by Step Photos):

    1) Boil the potatoes and beet in pressure cooker or steam then till soft.

    2) While they are cooking make chutney. Grind all the chutney ingredients into smooth paste. Do not add too much water as we want thick chutney.

    3) Now potato and beet are cooled, peel the skin and discard. Slice them evenly. Then prepare rest of the veggies. Before assembling sandwich, make sure you have all the ingredients ready.

    4) Spread the butter generously on slices. This helps to prevent the bread from getting soggy.

    5) Now spread the mint coriander chutney on both slices.

    6) drizzle some ketchup if you like.

    7) Place potato slices and sprinkle sandwich masala.

    8) then place cucumber slices and sprinkle masala. Next tomato slices and masala.

    9) Now arrange few onion slices and again sprinkle some masala.

    10) Lastly arrange boiled and sliced beetroot with some masala.

    11) Close the sandwich with another bread slice.

    12) Cut into 4 or 6 pieces using sharp knife. Make sure that filling does not come out. Drop the tomato ketchup and chutney on each pieces and sprinkle some masala and serve immediately.

    If you want to make the cheese vegetable sandwich then add little or lots of grated cheese on top of beetroot layer and then close the sandwich.

    Serving suggestion: Enjoy this bombay veg sandwich as snack. Have some fruit juice and chips or fries on side.

    Ingredients  

    For green chutney :

    • 1 cup Mint leaves
    • 1 cup Cilantro or coriander leaves
    • 2-3 Green chilies or to taste
    • ¼ inch Ginger
    • ¼ teaspoon Black salt (Kala namak)
    • ½ teaspoon Chaat masala
    • 1 ½ teaspoon Lemon juice

    For Bombay veg Sandwiche recipe:

    • 8 slices Bread
    • 3-4 teaspoons Sandwich masala
    • Butter as required
    • Tomato Ketchup as required
    • 1 medium Potatoes boiled, peeled, sliced
    • ½ of medium Cucumber peeled, sliced
    • 1 medium Tomato sliced
    • 1 small Red onion sliced
    • 1 medium Beetroot boiled, peeled, sliced

    Instructions
