  • Refreshing: The addition of mint leaves gives a super refreshing flavor. The flavor goes perfect with mangoes and coconut.
  • Taste: It’s creamy, sweet, tropical-flavored and fruity refreshing
  • Super easy to make: Just blend the ingredients, pour into the popsicle mold and freeze. This can’t be easier than this.
  • Healthy: No refined sugar is added here to these mango popsicles. This is a healthier choice than having ice cream as a summer treat.

🧾 Ingredient Notes

  • Mangoes:
    • Always use ripe and sweet mango.
    • In India, alphonso mango (hapus keri) is the best choice. Since it is a little expensive fruit, the next best choice is Kesar. You can mix both as well.
    • Here in the USA, Ataulpho mango (a Mexican fruit) is a good variety to make mango popsicles.
  • Coconut milk: It adds a creamy texture to the mango ice pops.
  • Honey: A much better option than adding sugar. One more benefit is that honey does not freeze. Meaning it prevents the crystallization in frozen desserts, so frozen mango popsicles will have a smooth texture.
  • Mint: use the fresh mint leaves and discard the stems.

👩‍🍳 How To Make Mango Popsicles? (Stepwise)

  1. Take mango pieces, honey and coconut mint in a grinder or blender jar.
  2. Make a smooth puree out of it,
  3. Add finely chopped mint leaves.
  4. Stir it with a spoon into the popsicle mixture. We like to bite into the strands of mint, so do not blend, just stir.
  5. Remove the popsicles mixture into a large measuring cup so it’s easy to pour into the molds.
  6. Fill the popsicle mold and pop in the sticks. Freeze it until set and frozen.

💭 Expert Tips

  • You can grind the mint leaves if you don’t want to bite into the leaves while eating mango ice pops.
  • Add yogurt instead of coconut milk and it tastes just like mango lassi.
  • Want to use a wooden popsicle stick? Freeze the popsicles for about 30 minutes or partially freeze them. Then insert the stick so it stays in the middle of the ice pops.
  • To remove the popsicle from the mold, run warm water for 30 seconds around the mold or dip it into a glass of warm water for 30 seconds. Then start wiggling and it should come right out.
