    ❤️About This Recipe

Naturally sweetened: Use the perfectly ripe and sweet fruit while making a smoothie, so you don’t have to add any additional sweetener.

Healthy and filling: Enjoy it as a breakfast or mid-evening snack. This strawberry mango smoothie is perfectly filling, satisfying and deliciously good. It’ll keep you full until lunchtime.

Kid-friendly: Your entire family will love this including kids and grown-ups. So make a large batch for all of them when you have no time to make breakfast in the morning.

    🧾Ingredient Notes

You’ll need only 3 ingredients to make this deliciously sweet strawberry mango smoothie.

    • Strawberries & Mangoes: When in season, I use fresh fruits (that are chilled or flash frozen). But in a pinch, you can use frozen fruits. Frozen ones make the smoothie super chilled and extra creamy.
    • Yogurt: I prefer to use unsweetened plain yogurt, so I can control my sugar intake.
    • Liquid: I prefer my smoothie thick, so I have not added any liquid e.g. milk, juice or coconut water. If yours is super thick then make the liking consistency by adding a splash of liquid of your choice. (few options are given in the tips section below).

    💭Expert Tips

Flash Freeze To Get Chilled Smoothie: If using fresh fruits, then I recommend flash-freezing before making a smoothie. Chop the fruit, arrange it on a parchment paper lined tray in a single layer and freeze for half an hour.

Add Ice Cubes: if using fresh fruits and don’t have time for flash freezing then add some ice cubes to make a chilled smoothie. Adding ice cubes option should be your last choice.

If your mangoes and/or strawberries are not sweet enough then you can add some honey or maple syrup for sweetness.

Is your smoothie super thick? Thin it out by adding coconut water or fruit juice like orange juice, apple juice, pineapple juice. If you want to use milk then choose vegan milk. Dairy milk and yogurt should not be combined as per Ayurveda.

Add-ins to make it more nutritious:

    • Greens: Add a handful of spinach or kale
    • Superfoods: chia seeds, flax seeds or hemp hearts.
    • Protein: Your choice of vanilla protein powder.

    🥣 Storage

    • Fresh fruit smoothie should be consumed right away for fresh taste and get the most nutritional benefit.
    • As you store, fruits may oxidize and lose their flavor and nutrients.
    • However, you can make it in the morning and consume it within a day. If it turns brown then discard it.
