Pomegranate raita recipe - mix of sweet and savory flavors in this raita. Made with fresh pomegranate arils, cucumber, yogurt and spiced with black pepper and roasted cumin powder.

Pomegranate Raita Recipe | How to make pomegranate raita

This raita is one of my favorite raitas. It is so colorful and it looks so beautiful when you garnish it with pomegranate seeds and chopped coriander leaves. These red and green colors are really eye catching. And not to forget that it taste very good too.

It is best recipe when you are having party or guests. As I mentioned this looks beautiful and perfect center piece on dinner table. And your guests will love it and you will also get appreciations, right?

It has sweet taste with little spicy taste from green chili and spice powders. I recommend using chilled yogurt whenever you make raita. I have added some onions and cucumber also in pomegranate raita. It gives really a unique taste to the raita. If you use only pomegranate seeds then it will taste too sweet like a dessert. So please add cucumber too. But of course, if you like sweet flavored raita than savory one. Go ahead and skip the onion and cucumber.

Serving suggestions: Serve this raita with spicy biryani or pulao like tawa pulao or spicy veg pulao or veg biryani. Even you can have it as side on your meal (especially when you have spicy curry in your meal.).
