  • Simple ingredients: You only need 3 main ingredients (strawberries, lemon juice and sugar) plus water to make this strawberry juice recipe.
  • Easy and Quick: Just add the ingredients into the blender and blend! It couldn’t be simpler.
  • Delicious: This drink is the perfect balance of sweet and tangy with a refreshing flavor.
  • Perfect for summer: When you are looking for a non-alcoholic drink for grown-ups (also for kids), this juice is the perfect refreshing and cooling drink. It’s perfect for any time of the year not only summer.
  • Healthy: This is the healthier drink compared to carbonated beverages or store-bought sugar-loaded juices.

🧾 Ingredient Notes

  • Strawberries: I have used fresh ones. You can use frozen ones.
  • Lemon juice: A slight tang from the lemon juice will perk up the flavor of the berries. Instead, you can use lime juice.
  • Sugar: You can use your choice of sweetener.
  • Water: A little amount of water is added to get the juice consistency.

👩‍🍳 How to make strawberry juice? (Stepwise)

  1. Wash the strawberries, remove the stems and roughly chop them. Add that into the blender along with lemon juice and sugar.
  2. Blend it until you get a smooth puree.
  3. Add chilled water and again blitz it to mix together.
  4. Pour into the serving glass or a pitcher.

💭 Expert Tips

  • Use chilled water or use a few ice cubes with room temperature water. If using ice cubes then reduce the water amount otherwise you’ll have diluted juice.
  • Use frozen strawberries instead of fresh? Let it thaw first and then make juice. If you blend frozen strawberries then you’ll get a slushy type consistency.
  • Skip adding water, if you prefer thick juice.
  • Adjust the amount of sugar depending on the sweetness of your strawberries.
  • To strain or not? It depends. We do not mind having a few seeds in the sip here and there. So why waste time in doing one extra step of straining. If you prefer a super smooth juice then strain the juice using a muslin cloth over the strainer.

📖 Variations

  • Salt: It brings out the strawberry flavor more. I do not add salt to control the salt intake.
  • Herbs: Mint or basil goes well with strawberries.
  • Coconut water: Substitute plain water with coconut water to add more nutrients and refreshing flavor.
  • Spices: Freshly crushed cardamom seeds or a pinch of cinnamon would add a lovely flavor.
  • Vanilla: Add some vanilla extract.
  • Ginger: 1/2 inch piece of ginger adds a nice flavor. This combination is good during fall weather. The addition of ginger during summer weather is not a good idea.
  • Other fruits: e.g. apple, watermelon (strawberry watermelon juice), pineapple, orange, other berries (like raspberries, blueberries),

🧃 Storage Instructions

  • As this is fresh fruit juice, it should be consumed fresh for the most nutritional benefits.
  • However, you can keep it in the refrigerator, covered for up to 24 hours only. If so do stir before pouring into the serving glass.

  1. Hi there,
Nice recipe, a good way to get a clear strawberry juice is by
Combining your strawberries (quartered) sugar I usually do 1 cup strawberries a quarter cup sugar
1/2 lemon juice and 2 cups water,
Combine this in a bowl clingfilm over the top,
Place iver a pan of boiling water for 25 mins exactly
Remove from heat and pass through sieve lined with a cloth usually muslin or the blue cloths
You have a crystal clear juice
Then with the strawberries you can make a puree or a jam with them by adding a little bit of sugar and blending
Also with the stems of the strawberries you can make a delicious tea, add unto a pan a cup of stems, 3 tablespoons of sugar and a squeeze of lemon and 1 cup of water, bring up to the boil and pass same method as before then drink
    Delicious!!!
Hope you guys enjoy this alternative method
