🧾 Ingredient Notes

Strawberries: Use ripe, sweet strawberries otherwise juice may become tangier. I have used frozen strawberries so I don’t have to add ice cubes. I do not prefer to add ice to my drinks because I don’t like to water down my juice which dilutes the flavor.

Watermelon: I recommend using seedless watermelon to make the job easy. Otherwise, you’ll have to pick and discard the seeds before grinding. Those few white seeds are fine.

Lemon juice (or lime juice): A must-add ingredient. It adds a nice tart flavor that offsets the sweetness of the fruit.

💭 Expert Tips For Strawberry Watermelon Juice

  • If your fruit is not sweet enough then you can add your choice of sweetener e.g. sugar, honey, maple syrup, etc.
  • I recommend chopping watermelon ahead of time and chill in the fridge before making juice, so you don’t have to add ice.
  • This is the kind of juice that separates over time. So if serving it later on then you need to stir it to mix the juice first and then pour.
  • You can add a pinch of salt to bring out the flavor. At home, we do not like to add salt to fruit juices so I have not added it.

Storage: Because this is fresh fruit juice, it should be consumed within a day. But just in case you need to store it then store it in an airtight dark colored glass container to minimize the light exposure and keep it in the refrigerator. It stays good for 2-3 days but it loses its nutritional value and taste as it sits longer in the fridge.
