    ❤️About This Recipe

Simple ingredients: You’ll need just 3 ingredients - pineapple, orange and sugar.

Quick to make: It takes only 10 minutes to make.

Versatile: You can use a blender or a juicer to make this delicious juice.

Taste and flavor: This pineapple orange juice has a sweet and slightly tangy taste with a refreshing and cooling effect on your body.

Fresh vs Store-bought: The homemade fresh fruit juice is 100 times better than store-bought bottles. Homemade ones are preservative-free and one can control the sugar. Plus, fresh juice has more nutrients and is better tasting.

    🧾Ingredient Notes

Pineapple: Use the fresh, ripe pineapple to make juice. Most of the time, you’ll get the raw or semi-ripe pineapple from the store, so let it sit on the counter for a few days to ripe.

    • How to check the ripeness? It should have a firm cell but a slightly soft when squeezed. When you smell the bottom side, it should give a fruity, sweet pineapple smell. This is the ripe time to cut your pineapple.
    • Cut the pineapple ahead of time and chill in the refrigerator to get instant chilled juice.

Oranges: Choose the seedless orange like navel oranges, so we can just peel and throw them in the blender (or juicer). Otherwise, you’ll have to get the orange juice first using a citrus juicer.

    💭Expert Tips

    • Sugar is optional. Add more or less depending on the sweetness of your fruit.
    • Highly recommend using ripe and sweet fruit so you don’t have to add a ton of sugar.
    • Strain or Not strain? It depends. If you like pulpy juice then no need to strain. Otherwise, strain it through a fine-mesh strainer to get a smooth juice.
    • Storage: Fresh pineapple orange juice should be consumed within a day. As the fresh fruit juice sits longer, it loses its nutritional value and fresh flavor.
    • Chill the pineapple and oranges in the fridge before juicing to get chilled juice. Otherwise, you’ll have to add ice cubes and that dilutes the juice.
