🧾Ingredient Notes

This recipe is so simple. Only a few ingredients are needed to set it off.

  • Mango: Use fresh, ripe and sweet mango. Here in the USA, I prefer to use ataulfo (champagne mango), a Mexican fruit.
  • Sugar: Adjust the amount of sugar depending on the sweetness of your fruit.
  • Water: Use the chilled water to make this juice.

👩‍🍳How To Make Mango Juice? (Stepwise)

  1. Chill the mango prior to juicing. Take mango cubes and sugar into a blender.
  2. Blend it to make a smooth puree.
  3. Now add water and blitz it to mix.
  4. Place a fine-mesh strainer over the large bowl or large glass. Pass the juice through the strainer and use the spatula to push the juice through the strainer. Once done pour into the glass and serve.

💭Expert Tips

  • Always use chilled mango and chilled water for juicing
  • Do not thin out the juice (like maza or slice) by adding more water otherwise, it dilutes the mango flavor. Those store-bought mango drinks have artificial flavors added, so it has a fruity taste even though they have a super thin consistency.
  • Straining the juice is optional if you have used non-fibrous verity. Otherwise straining is a must. Getting a mango fiber here and there while drinking juice is not pleasant.
  • Instead of plain water, you can use coconut water or orange juice.

🥣 Storage Instructions

  • Mango juice should be consumed fresh within a day.
  • If stored then it loses its nutritional value and freshness. Plus, the taste also changes a little bit.

  1. I have a lot of frozen mangoes from last mango season here in Florida. I tried this recipe and loved it. Since the mangoes were frozen I couldn’t strain the pulp so I had it like a smoothie. I used maple syrup instead of sugar and added fresh ginger and some canned coconut milk and it was delicious 😋🤤. I used a high powered blender so it was well blended. Good for a hot summer day. Thanks for the recipe5 stars
