I made this today, it was super tasty. I added garlic and ginger and noticed those two ingredients were missing. Is it the norm to not add ginger and garlic to a dal recipe? Thank you for sharing.

No particular reason for not adding ginger garlic. This is the way my mom makes it and I am following here method.
If you want/like, you can add ginger garlic. It will enhance the flavor more.

Greetings and thank you for this recipe which I would like to try for my family. Can you also give an alternative cooking time for people who don't have a pressure cooker?

We sprout mung beans, but we've never made a dish with them before. So good! I overcooked them in my pressure cooker, but the end result was just as good. This one's going to be a regular at our house.5 stars

Glad to know you liked this dish.
Sometimes it happens, the brand and age of the beans affect the cooking time. So next time adjust accordingly to avoid overcooking.
