Whenever we go to Punjabi restaurants, we usually finish up our meal with jeera rice and dal fry or dal tadka. This mild cumin rice is very simple and easy to make.

There are two ways of making jeera rice recipe.
1) Temper the whole spices and cumin seeds and then cook the rice along with the spices. This way the rice absorbs the flavors well. I prefer this way as it is quick and one pot rice.
2) Cook the rice first. Then temper cumin seeds in ghee and mix the cooked rice with this. In restaurants, they use this method. It adds one more step to the above method and you will have one more pan to clean up.

If you know me, I hate washing dishes and I always in sort of time. So I go for the first method and I have shared that here today. For your reference I will share second method as well in near future.

Whenever you have guests coming, you don’t want to served them plain rice. So this is the dish that you want to make which takes no effort yet impressive.
